Illinois at Wisconsin
- UW -6.5, Over/ Under 43.5
Well then, this is an interesting one because the way Illinois has looked eye test wise, they are the better team. The pedigree of Wisconsin though would have you pick them. For me I can’t ignore UW’s 0-2 record against power five clubs. Is Illinois as good as Ohio State? Of course they aren’t. Are they as good as Washington State? Maybe…I think taking the points is the smarter pick because if Wisconsin wins it will probably be close but Illinois has a real possibility of winning.
Indiana at Nebraska
- NU – 6.5, O/U 61.5
Despite the records Nebraska is the better team. I’m taking them to cover at home. I’m also liking that over. Both teams are getting solid quarterback play and not a whole lot defensively.
Michigan at Iowa
- UM -10.5, O/U 42.0
Michigan is going to win. Michigan should win by 14+. Take them. I’m also doubling up with the under. Iowa’s offense against an athletic Michigan defense? Not liking them to score more than 10 points. The smell of 28-10 is all over this game.
Michigan State at Maryland
- UM -7.5, O/U 58.5
With Hurricane Ian having a rather large ripple effect over eastern weather, I don’t want to touch the over at all since I don’t know if Maryland will be able to get up to full speed and pile on the points. I do think, however, that they safely cover this spread at home.
Purdue at Minnesota
- UM -9.0, O/U 53.0
I have a massive pile of Gopher stock and not about to stop pumping them up now. Yes Purdue is scary with their Spoilermaker history but I’m fully trusting the Gophers this week. Maybe I’ll look stupid, but based on the results through the first four games, there is no reason to doubt Goldy.
Northwestern at Penn State
- PSU -25.5, O/U 50.0
Weather forecast for this one is brutal. Between the sloppy weather, PSU’s defense, and NU’s wretched team, I don’t see a prayer for the over. Betting the under and ignoring the spread.
Rutgers at Ohio State
- OSU -39.0, O/U 58.0
RU’s defense isn’t bad but OSU is just next level. I have the Bucks winning by 40+, hitting 50+ and getting this thing over. Bucks and lots of points, book it!
