Illinois at Indiana

Based on Illinois’s defense in week zero, I understand if people want to test the under. Personally, I’m looking at those points. Why are the Hoosiers favored? Illinois was better last year, is better this year, and has already played a game to get all the stupid opening day jitter junk over with. I will gladly take those points…I think the Illini win outright.
Maryland vs Buffalo
- UM -24.5, O/U 65.0
In my previews I got Maryland winning this one 42-14 so I think the Terps cover. I was hoping to see the over a little closer to 55 to get me excited but that 65 scares me, I have no idea if Buffalo will contribute much to the point total. I mean what if Maryland wins 49-0? I hate betting overs as big as this one in the first few weeks, so I’ll tread lightly and just go with the Terps.
Michigan vs Colorado State
- UM -30.5, O/U 61.5
Holy smokes, it is clear Vegas got the memo about how bad the Rams were. Still, UM absolutely demolished their three non-con squads last year, including a 63-10 smackdown of Northern Illinois. You know who NIU is way better than? This Colorado State team. I’ll trust the defending champs to hit a big number clearing the spread .
Michigan State vs Western Michigan
- MSU -22.5, O/U 54
This spread is essentially asking do you think MSU is 24 points better than the Broncos. Yes, yes, I do think they are 24 points better than the Broncos.
Minnesota vs New Mexico State
- UM -36.5, O/U 52.5
Spreads that big always make me panicked. You just need a last second score to completely derail you. What was once a 42 point blowout becomes a 35 one and you lose. The under intrigues me though. I know Minnesota will score plenty in this game, but I don’t think New Mexico State will. In the preview I had the Gophers winning 42-3 which is nowhere near that over. I’m going to trust the UM defense to keep this thing under 50.
Ohio State vs Notre Dame
- OSU -17.0, O/U 59
I’m going to trust the OSU process, I’m going to trust that offense, I’m going to trust that Notre Dame has way, way too many new folks in key rolls. Bucks should cover. Now…can we get that over? I mean 42-21 gets us there…I kind of like that score. Let’s have some fun.
Penn State at Purdue
- PSU -3.5, O/U 52.5
Over, over, over, I want that over!!! PU’s offense will be among the best in the league and their defense…not. PSU’s offense is the stronger side of their team as well. Zero clue who will win it, but I love the shootout potential in this one!
Rutgers at Boston College
- BC -7.0, O/U 48
Stay away, seriously, just stay away. BC has some injuries but Rutgers is, well, Rutgers. I’m trying to give picks to win money, not stress your weekend by hoping Rutgers scores late to cover. Just stay away.
