2017 Week 4 Gambling Guide

The following teams are off:

  • Illinois
  • Minnesota

Indiana vs Georgia Southern

  • Indiana -24.0, Over / Under 52

Georgia Southern is 0-2 with a 41-7 loss already to Auburn.  I’m not sure Indiana is overall as good as Auburn, but I do know Indiana’s offense has been playing better than Auburn’s.  Hoosiers cover and the score goes over since Indiana can put up half a hundred alone in this one.

Iowa vs Penn State

  • Penn State -13.0, O/U 52

After keeping it close for three quarters Iowa hits a wall in the fourth and Penn State adds at least one touchdown to their lead to win by at least fourteen.  Nittany Lions find a way to cover on the road.

Maryland vs UCF

  • Maryland -4.0, O/U 59.5

Despite putting Maryland on upset watch in the preview post, I think they win this game about 7 times out of ten with most of those being touchdown plus games.  Terps cover.

Michigan at Purdue

  • Michigan -10.5, O/U 51.5

Ah, I like getting that extra half point.  I think Michigan wins by ten exactly so I’ll grab those points as Purdue gets a slim cover.

Michigan State vs Notre Dame

  • ND -3.0, O/U 54.5

I don’t think Notre Dame is particularly well coached or particularly good on defense.  Spartans win it straight up in their home stadium and based on awful Boston College putting up 20 on the Irish, I think the over is splashed in a 35-28 shootout.

Nebraska vs Rutgers

  • Nebraska -12.5, O/U 52

I see this game playing out a bit like the Washington-Rutgers game.  The Knights play above their talent level to keep it tight but a few second half scores give the Huskers a 14+ point win.  Low scoring, though.  Taking the under.

Ohio State vs UNLV

  • OSU -40.5, O/U 65.5

Can Ohio State’s offense even get to 40 points?  I mean that, seriously.  They’ve scored under it the last two games.  UNLV is going to get blown out, but not by 41 points.
