Illinois vs Iowa
- Iowa -8, Over / Under 45
Illinois has been free falling, turning the ball over at an alarming rate, and the defense has packed up and gone home. I think Iowa has a sense that they have turned their season around with the stunning victory over Michigan and are hungry to finish strong. I will gladly give up those eight points.
Indiana at Michigan
- Michigan -25.5, O/U 51
New quarterback against that improved Hoosier defense? Points baby. Going to take the under, too. Nasty weather, maybe even snow in the forecast.
Michigan State vs Ohio State
- Ohio State -20, O/U 50
MSU is going to be game in this one. They might not win, and OSU may pull away late but it will be kept within 20. Maybe 31-14…which is under as well.
Maryland at Nebraska
- Nebraska -13, O/U 50
I know in the preview I picked this as my upset special possibility due to Armstrong’s injury but giving up less than two touchdowns? That is too good a deal to pass up. I’ll go with Nebraska at home.
Minnesota vs Northwestern
- Northwestern -1, O/U 47
Minnesota is a home dog? Gophers have two more wins than the Wildcats and have been the much more reliable product, especially against lesser opponents. I have Minnesota winning this one straight up so of course I’ll take the points.
Penn State at Rutgers
- Penn State -26, O/U 56
Rutgers is in a word…awful. Penn State will find a way to cover. The score that popped into my head was 56-6 which gets the over, barely. I don’t love relying on Rutgers but they did lose 78-0 so maybe PSU can score enough alone. We’ll see.
Purdue vs Wisconsin
- Wisconsin -27.5, O/U 49
In my yahoo pick ’em league one of the tiebreakers is who will score the least…I picked Purdue. Badgers roll, 35-0. Staying away from the over though because Purdue has shown some friskiness in the first half. I don’t want to get burned if PU scores more than expected.
Western Michigan vs Buffalo
- Western Michigan -34.5, O/U 55
The same storm impacting the MSU and UM games has me leaning under. Western Michigan rolls, but by how much? My gut says by 35. Maybe 42-7 after a slow start. Either way, row the boat!
